Macra-mania

I have fallen in love with a dress.
DVF Spring 2010 Lookbook

I have always loved DVF. She is the epitome of style and a self-made woman who made such an impact on her industry. My favorite thing about her is that she nutures all of her creative friends: artists, designers, writers, and helps them to achieve their full potential. Like they said in Glee, "We already won because you were our teacher." Anyone lucky enough to have this icon offer guidance should listen up. She is a fashion treasure, mother of two, business tycoon, and a woman to admire.

"The inspiration for Ms. von Furstenberg's New York Fashion Week spring line came from the desert, her love of antiquity, and images like a phoenix rising. Ms. von Furstenberg visited Egypt and ancient parts of the world and similarly, her collection embodied that adventuring spirit. Her woman travels through time and temples, whether it be Greece, Italy, Mesopotamia or Africa, on an exploration of beauty around the world.

Spring and summer 2010 von Furstenberg fashion incorporated ethereal and romantic prints. Complicated layering was excessive at times, but like the iconic Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress, many of these looks were simply elegant. Lively and vital, the fashion show exuded imagery from great civilizations. Olympia, Rome, Cairo, Babylon, and Africa all lent their styles to an elegant world vision."
