Truce?

Dear March,

I realize we have never really gotten along. Every year I try. Every year you refuse to cooperate.

Why are you so gray? Muddy snow is not appealing. Melt or freeze - choose. Why can't we just get along? I'm wearing my sherbet colors. I'm listening to unrelentingly upbeat music. I am buying an unreasonable amount of Chanel lipstick and Deborah Lippmann nail polish.

I realize it takes a bit of imagination to finesse fabulousness in the dreary climate in which I live. I am really trying, but perhaps you could help a little? A possible real life leprechaun sighting? That would be fun! Don't speak to me about green beer. I find that kind of paper hat Irish history patronizing.

I love the songs & the stories and the mystical feeling of nature waking from it's slumber. I know we have to trudge through the muddy snow to get to the flowered meadows. I also know it's more fun to be dressed like a flower whilst you do the trudging.

There are things I love about you, March. I court you every year. You are fickle & taciturn and not eager to impress me. Let's meet in the middle. Let's find the fabulousness together as we stagger toward spring.

Let's pray & hope & eat & sing.

March, let's be friends.

True Colors?

Do our color preferences say something about our personalities? I've always thought so. (All fabulous people have a predisposition for pink & green, don't they?) How about career choice? This is a GREAT little test. I'm a "Creator". Very fun to read about the type of work & environment my colors say I would thive in. What are you?

Take the test: (You can skip over giving your email & the advert)
Color Career Counselor It is really fun! Thanks Between Naps On The Porch for posting this. Hope everyone has a colorful weekend!

YUM!

I went to Sephora the other day to try Philosophy's Red Velvet cake bubble bath. Come to find out it is also a shampoo & shower gel! It smells VERY SWEET so friends who don't like intense flavors/scents might not be fans. I happen to live for red velvet SPRINKLES cupcakes so when I saw red velvet, I got in the car!

Full disclosure, I also bought the Birthday party gift set! I HAD to! Yesterday was my half birthday. (6 months to plan your gift...tick tock)

It is a Posh Momma rule to indulge yourself once in awhile. I have to wake up before 6a.m to prepare for our day. Having some fun shower products to get me out of a nice warm bed on a cold February morning is a true delight! We Mommas deserve it!

THE Posh Momma

Run (as fast as you can in heels) to your nearest book/grocery store & pick up Glamour magazine. I'm not a frequent reader of it, but of course I buy anything with the ultimate Posh Momma on the cover. This issue is REALLY cute with some great healthy food tips & a very whimsical pink & pretty fashion spread. The Victoria Beckham spread is a fun twist on being a housewife!!

Something tells me Victoria doesn't often indulge, but if you are going to - you cannot go wrong with cupcakes!

LOVE the D&G headband & just look at that sweet puppy!

Burberry trench & amazing Louboutins. (Pictures feature a lilac & a pink pair). BTW I totally look like that when I'm grocery shopping too...

The Posh Mom would of course have a posh b-day planned! Her manicure os OUTSTANDING. You can see it better in the actual mag.

And a Posh Momma is a Puppy Momma too! (as Riley Bear snores next to me...) Such a fun issue. The interview with Mrs. Beckham is super cute & worth the read. Thanks Glamour!

Enter & win some delicious cookies from my FABULOUS friend at PINKMARTINIS&PEARLS ! She is so tremendously talented & must start an online business so we can all order her cookies. Plus, her blog is such a delight I cyber-visit her in The OC every morning & we listen to tunes & I drink coffee. (She is asleep on the West Coast, but I get to enjoy her heartfelt, stylish blog before my Twincesses get up!) I'm so ready for Easter & Spring!

USA! USA!

I have Olympic fever! Thanks to my friend Jenn, my class is pen pals with her cousin Olympic bobsled racer, John Napier. How THRILLING for them to get an email from him today. They are so psyched for the games!
